A total number of 4320 Cities Participated in Swachh Survekshan (6th Edition of Survey). It is the world’s largest urban cleanliness survey. Under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India free from dirt and waste, the cleanliness survey is conducted every year by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Swachh Survekshan was first conducted in 2016 till only 73 major cities participated, and now in 2021, 4,320 cities have participated in Swachh Survekshan.
