The state government has amended the rules to impose a “Special COVID Fee” by increasing the maximum retail price (MRP) of all types of foreign liquor and beer by 50%. The Excise Commissioner has been authorized to fix the rates of delivery charges. Currently, Rs 100 for orders for Rs 1000 and then Rs 25 for each additional value of Rs 500, in no case will the delivery fee exceed Rs 300.
