India Post GDS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must pass the Secondary School (10th Class) Examination conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India / State Governments / Union Territories in India.
• Applicant should have studied the local language.

Other Qualification

• Knowledge of Computer
• Knowledge of Cycling
• Adequate means of livelihood.

Age Limits

• Minimum Age Limit – 18 Years
• Maximum Age Limit – 40 Years

Relaxations in Upper Age Limit

• Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) – 5 Years
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 3 Years
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) – No relaxation
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) = 10 Years

Application Fee

• A fee of Rs. 100/- is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in choice of Division.
• Payment of fees is exempted for all female applicants, SC / ST Applicants, PWD applicants, and Transwomen applicants.
• Candidates can make payment of fees through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.

Selection Process

• The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list.
• The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentages to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
