After the rough and tumble of the first two
years of our existence, time has already come when our presence is
registered on public mind and we are gradually heading towards a stage
in our development when the ongoing processes acquire clarity and
consistency of purpose and the procedures get streamlined to fit into
our perceptions. This is very sensitive phase where smallest of the
mistakes can lead to major failures and great deal of caution is
required to be integrated with whatever we plan or proceed ahead with.
With an experienced team at my back and forward-looking workforce, I
am sure we shall be scaling new heights with every successive year. If
a university can get operational within 08 months of the public
declaration of the decision to set up the same, then perhaps there is
hardly anything that we cannot do to make this sapling grow and bloom
to its fullest capacity.
I feel proud to announce that this university
has now become fully residential in that suitable in-campus
accommodation has already been made available to the faculty and
Hostels for Boys and Girls have already come up with all the requisite
facilities. Within the campus itself, the students and faculty members
can now go shopping for items of daily use and they can, at the same
time, avail in-campus Banking and Postal facilities. There is an
all-weather road connecting the campus with Rajouri town whereas
within the campus there is round-the-clock V-Sat Internet
connectivity. Our library has a rich collection of books and our
computer labs are fully modernized. There is well furnished and
adequately stocked canteen to meet recreational requirements of the
students besides the facility of indoor and outdoor games.
On the academic front, we are doing
exceptionally well in that there is an overwhelming response from
admission seekers for various courses that have been put on offer by
us. This is so because our thrust from day one has been on excellence
in teaching and learning. Further enriching our profile is the fact
that we have highly experienced and result-oriented professionals at
one end and the most meritorious students queuing up for the courses
that are being presently taught in this university. Whereas the coming
out of this Information Bulletin puts into motion the process of
admissions for the ensuing academic session (2007-08), we are also
proud to announce the opening up of our Regional Office at Srinagar
which will bring enormous convenience to the entire student community
from the valley eager to seek admission in this university. Likewise
for Jammu based students we have our camp office at Jammu as well.
With the realization that we have started our journey in right earnest
and that there are 'miles to go' in the years ahead, all I hope and
wish is to see this university grow and flourish as a major hub of
science and technology in the years ahead.
