The School of Management Studies, established in 2005, offers Masters in Business Administration (MBA) , Masters in Business Administration - Financial Management (MBA-FM) and Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). The first batch of students for MBA Programme was admitted in 2005. Till date four batches of students have passed out for taking up gainful employment in industry and other organizations. Masters programme in Financial Management was initiated in 2006 and till date three batches of students have passed out. In all 135 students have obtained MBA and MBA-FM Degrees from the University. The Intake capacity approved by the AICTE is 60 for MBA programme which is distributed between MBA and MBA-FM. The Bachelors programme in Business Administration (BBA) was introduced in 2009.

Course curriculum

The course curriculum for MBA and MBA-FM programmes is drawn from UGC Model Curriculum and from real world business and economic events. Emphasis of these programmes is on strengthening analytical and critical managerial skills of the students. The endeavour of the School is to produce business professionals who are capable of holding managerial positions in reputed national and multinational organizations.

 

The course curriculum for MBA and MBA-FM programmes is spread over four semesters. In MBA each semester has 8 courses except for the last where course work is lighter to allow students to attend placement related activities. The Summer Internship and Comprehensive Viva Voce at the end of each semester are part of the curriculum. The BBA programme comprises six semesters. Curriculum planning and development are integral parts of the academic activity of the School.
