Procedure for Admission (MCA)

For admission to MCA programme all eligible candidates are required to undergo Combined Entrance Test (CET).

Candidates desirous of taking the Entrance Test are required to apply on the Admission application form attached with the bulletin after which the University will issue Admission Notification, some time in March-April, 2008 in Newspapers and on University website www.bgsbuniversity.org.

The Entrance Test will be conducted at MCA Department BGSB University Campus, Rajouri; Jammu University, Jammu and Regional Office Rose Lane Colony, Indira Gandhi Road, Parray Pora, Baghat Barzulla, Near S.S.R.B Srinagar. Syllabus for the Entrance Test and Model Question Paper will be available on the university website from where they can be downloaded. The Admit Card will be sent to each applicant by the Head, Department of Computer Sciences, BGSB University, Rajouri.

Admission will be based on the merit of students in the Combined Entrance Test (CET).

 

 

Procedure for Admission (M.Sc.IT)

For admission to M.Sc IT programme all eligible candidates are required to undergo Combined Entrance Test (CET).

Candidates desirous of taking the Entrance Test are required to apply on the Admission application form attached with the bulletin after the University will issue Admission Notification, some time in March-April, 2008 in Newspapers and on University website www.bgsbuniversity.org.

The Entrance Test will be conducted at MCA Department, BGSB University Campus, Rajouri; Jammu University, Jammu and Regional Office Rose Lane Colony, Indira Gandhi Road, Parray Pora, Baghat Barzulla, near S.S.R.B Srinagar. Syllabus for the Entrance Test and Model Question Paper will be available on the university website from where they can be downloaded. The Admit Card will be sent to each applicant by the Head, Department of Computer Sciences, BGSB University, Rajouri.

Weightage: Weightage of Marks for the two components shall be:

(a) Marks secured by the candidate in the Combined Entrance Test 50%
(b) Marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination 50%

 

 

Procedure for Admission (Applied Mathematics)

For Admission to MAM programme merit will be calculated by adding marks secured in Mathematics paper to the total marks secured in Bachelor's degree examination.

 

 

Procedure for Admission (MBA)

For admission to MBA programme all eligible candidates shall have to appear in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) that will be conducted by the All India Management Association at the centres and on dates to be notified in the MAT bulletin issued by AIMA-CMS.

MAT bulletin with Application form can be obtained from the All India Management Association, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, by sending DD for Rs 650/- or Rs 690/- in case of postal delivery, drawn in favour of the AIMA-CMS, payable at New Delhi.

The University may facilitate procurement of MAT Bulletin for the benefit of students. These can be procured from BGSB University Campus, Rajouri or Camp office of the University at Channi Himmat, Bye Pass Road, Jammu or Regional Office Rose Lane Colony, Indira Gandhi Road, Parray Pora, Baghat Barzulla, near S.S.R.B Srinagar. In case the bulletin is purchased from BGSB University the DD will have to be drawn in favour of Registrar, BGSB University, payable at Rajouri.

Candidates desirous of admission to MBA programme of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University will have to apply separately to BGSB University on its prescribed Application Form, available along with its Information Bulletin.

Group Discussion & Personal Interview: Candidates who are short-listed after declaration of the results of MAT will be intimated individually by the Head, Department of Management Studies, whereafter they will be required to appear for Group Discussion and Interview at the University Campus, Rajouri or at the Camp office of the BGSB University, Channi Himmat, Bye Pass Road, Jammu-180011 or Regional Office Rose Lane Colony, Indira Gandhi Road, Parray Pora, Baghat Barzulla, near S.S.R.B Srinagar on dates that will be notified through print and electronic media.

Weightage: Weightage of Marks for the three components shall be:

(a) Marks secured by the candidate in the Management Aptitude Test 80%
(b) Group Discussion 10%
(c) Interview 10%

 

 

Procedure for Admission (Financial Management)

For admission to MFM programme all eligible candidates shall have to appear in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) that will be conducted by the All India Management Association at the Centres and on dates to be notified in the MAT bulletin issued by AIMA-CMS.

Merit list of the candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the total marks secured in qualifying examination plus marks secured in Arabic.

The dates for Entrance Tests for MBA/MFM/MCA/MIT and B.Tech. will be notified through print and electronic media.
